Marva grew up on a farm run by her family in Tar Heel, NC. Her fondest childhood memories include caring for the animals, playing with her siblings around the yard and watching her parents and grandparents work hard to provide for their family. Marva emulates the work ethic she saw in her parents in every aspect of her life, including her faith, her family and her various passions. Beazer’s Bountiful Baskets grew from a few of those passions: meeting the needs of the community, gardening, cooking healthy foods and networking with people.

After retiring from the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, she settled on Lady’s Island in Beaufort, SC. As the Founder and CEO of Beazer’s Bountiful Baskets, Marva’s mission is to feed families and individuals on the Islands of Beaufort who are facing food insecurities. By partnering with local farmers, merchants, and volunteers Marva is meeting the needs of her new community and being the change, she wants to see!
